I am the controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
What personal information I collect
The types of personal information I obtain about you depend on how you interact with the Site. “Personal information” means information that identifies, relates to, describes or can be associated with you.
Information you give me directly: your contact details, such as your name and e-mail address, and the information you choose to include when you write to me.
Information about your usage: when you visit the Site, information about your device, your browser and your network connection, including your IP address, is processed by my hosting provider (see “Hosting”). I do not use cookies, pixels or similar technologies, and I do not obtain information about you from third parties.
Hosting
This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., 101 2nd Street, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA. When you open a page, your browser sends technical data to Netlify’s servers: your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page or file requested, and information about your browser and operating system. Netlify processes this data to deliver the site and to keep it stable and secure.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. My legitimate interest is providing this website reliably and securely.
Netlify processes the data on my behalf under its data processing agreement. Data may be processed in the United States; Netlify is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
When you write to me
If you send me an e-mail, I process your e-mail address and the content of your message in order to answer you. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR if your message concerns buying or commissioning a piece, and otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (my interest in answering enquiries).
My mailbox is provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. I delete messages once they are no longer needed, unless the law requires me to keep them longer.
How I use your personal information
I use the information described above to deliver the Site, to keep it secure and to communicate with you. In addition, I may use it to comply with any applicable legal obligations and to protect or defend the Site, my rights, and the rights of others.
I do not use your personal information for marketing or advertising.
How I disclose personal information
I disclose personal information to the service providers who perform services on my behalf: Netlify for hosting and Google for e-mail. I may also disclose it to comply with any applicable legal obligations (including to respond to subpoenas, search warrants and similar requests), and to protect or defend the Site, my rights, and the rights of others.
I do not sell your personal information and I do not share it for advertising purposes.
Third-party websites and links
This Site links to my Instagram profile. Instagram (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited) only receives data about you once you follow that link; nothing from Instagram is loaded on this Site.
If you follow links to sites not affiliated with or controlled by me, you should review their privacy and security policies and other terms and conditions. I do not guarantee and am not responsible for the privacy or security of such sites, including the accuracy, completeness or reliability of information found on them. Information you share on third-party social networking platforms may also be viewable by other users of those platforms.
Children’s data
The Site is not intended to be used by children, and I do not knowingly collect any personal information about children. If you are the parent or guardian of a child who has provided me with their personal information, you may contact me using the contact details set out below to request that it be deleted.
Security and retention of your information
Please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and I cannot guarantee “perfect security”. In addition, any information you send to me may not be secure while in transit. I recommend that you do not use insecure channels to communicate sensitive or confidential information to me.
How long I retain your personal information depends on different factors, such as whether I need the information to answer your enquiry, comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.
International users
Please note that I may transfer, store and process your personal information outside the country you live in. Your personal information is also processed by third-party service providers in these countries.
If I transfer your personal information out of Europe, I rely on recognized transfer mechanisms like the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, or any equivalent contracts issued by the relevant competent authority of the UK, as relevant, unless the data transfer is to a country or recipient that has been determined to provide an adequate level of protection.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data (Art. 15), to have it corrected (Art. 16) or erased (Art. 17), to have its processing restricted (Art. 18), to receive it in a portable format (Art. 20), and to object to processing that is based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). Where I rely on consent to process your personal information, you may withdraw this consent at any time.
These rights are not absolute, may apply only in certain circumstances and, in certain cases, I may decline your request as permitted by law.
You may exercise any of these rights by contacting me using the contact details provided below. I will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. I may need to collect information from you to verify your identity, such as your e-mail address, before providing a substantive response to the request. In accordance with applicable laws, you may designate an authorized agent to make requests on your behalf; I will then require proof that you have authorized them to act for you. I will respond to your request in a timely manner as required under applicable law.
Complaints
If you have complaints about how I process your personal information, please contact me using the contact details provided below. If you are not satisfied with my response, you may lodge your complaint with your local data protection authority. For the EEA, you can find a list of the responsible data protection supervisory authorities here. The authority responsible for me is the Thüringer Landesbeauftragter für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including to reflect changes to my practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons. I will post the revised Privacy Policy on the Site, update the “Last updated” date and take any other steps required by applicable law.

For the purpose of applicable data protection laws and if not explicitly stated otherwise, I am the data controller of your personal information.
